And yet, it moves

“If I have seen further than others, it is by standing upon the shoulders of giants” Newton wrote, in his effort to commemorate the contribution of Galileo and other astronomers. But why is Galileo unique and why he is said to be a “giant”? With whom he was supposed to “fight”? In this workshop, you will meet Galileo’s favorite characters discussing about whether the Earth spins and whether it is in the center of the universe. Galileo’s historical text, Dialogue, his courage and persistence will help us meet who he had to “fight” with!
