Art and Science: The meet-up of two separate universes

The idea of bringing together Arts with Sciences and Technologies is currently being widely promoted in education with the aim of encouraging children’s participation in those fields, fostering their creativity and ability to come up with new ideas and bridging the gap between different sectors. This tendency is now termed STEAM, which comes from the inclusion of the Arts in STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics). This Round Table discussion will raise the above issues, by presenting cutting-edge research, workshops and art-and-technology projects followed by a discussion on the benefits of interdisciplinary thinking and the new assets of STEAM practices.
