The winners of the Science Communication Awards ΕΠΙ2 – 2018

The first edition of the Science Communication Awards ΕΠΙ2 rewarded the most remarkable science communicators in our country and the award ceremony was held during the Athens Science Festival. More specifically, prizes were awarded in ten categories:

The award for the best written text was awarded to Georgia Alexi for the science communication text “Little Prince and his asteroid”.

The award for the best science communication blog went to Kostas Karpouzis for the blog openscience.gr.

The award for the best science communication social media account went to Stefanos Vamvakos for the YouTube channel “Everyday Physics”.

The award for the best science communication video was awarded to Nikos Papakostas for the documentary “Τhe Αntikythera Mechanism Narrations”.

The award for the best work of performing arts went to the 3rd Middle School of Glyfada for the theatre play “Pluto is lost”.

The award for the best school action went to the Vesper Professional High School of Corfu for the activity “Technology Escape Room”.

The award for the best awareness-raising action/campaign for science communication went to Science View for the action “Learning Science Through Theater”.

The award for the best presence at the Athens Science Festival 2018 went to the School of Chemical Engineering of NTUA for the action “An Engineer in the World of Chemistry”.

A certificate was awarded to the Primary School of Vitina in praise of the “Colonizing Mars project” with which the students and teachers of the school participated in the Athens Science Festival 2018.

The award for Global Contribution to Science Communication was awarded to Eleni Grammatikopoulou. More information for her work and contribution to the field can be found here.
