The play consists of two parts;a purely theatrical segment and an interactive one. Philip, the hero of the play is required to take an important personal decision while having to study for a Chemistry examat school. Children watching the act, they get involvedwith the plot as they help the hero to understand fundamental concepts of chemistry.
As the story progresses, the two versions of the play – the theatrical one (performed by four professional actors) and the experiential one (interactive exercises performed by the theatre pedagogue – animator) – come together into one.
The purpose of the Educational Action “Chemistry Issue” is to stimulate student interest in the subject of Chemistry and activate psychomotor, cognitive, and emotional skills, while increasing their interest in theatrical practice. It also seeks to couple the two fields, art and science, and their interface with the daily lives of the participants.
