We are delighted that after three years, the Athens Science Festival returns into its physical format and takes us into the future – into the “Worlds of Tomorrow”.

The ASF will take place on October 21-23, 2022 at Technopolis City of Athens, a unique old gas factory that has been transformed into a multi-purpose venue, located near the historic centre of Athens. The Festival, since 2014, is an established cultural landmark in the field of Science, Technology, Innovation and Art, and is considered as one of the largest science and technology festivals in Greece.

The ASF 2022 organizing committee inspired by Foresight, the strategic exploration of different possible versions of the future, as well as the opportunities and challenges they could create, has decided to give us a glimpse of the “Worlds of Tomorrow”.  The Festival will host a variety of science-based activities that will connect us to “Tomorrow” and highlight how the scientific study of the past and present can both shape and shield the Future.

We kindly invite you to take part in this celebration and design for the ASF visitors, interactive events and activities, that could fit under the following thematic areas:

Climate Change | Digital hyperconnectivity and technological transformations | Artificial Intelligence | Urbanization | Demographic shifts | Resource management | Robotics | STEM education | Sustainable development | Health | Art

The Athens Science Festival is organized by the educational organisation “Science Communication – SciCo”, the British Council and the Technopolis City of Athens with the invaluable contribution from a plethora of academics, research and educational institutions.

ASF is designed to attract people from all ages, and the programme includes interactive exhibitions and experiments, workshops, talks, fascinating performances that inspire educate and entertain thousands of Athenians.
