The Athens Science Festival is back, and it focuses towards highlighting STEM professions by creating a Student Edition ASF 2023 under the title “Shape your Future”.

Students are constantly asked the question “What do you want to be when you grow up?” almost as long as they can remember themselves. However, when they finally choose the direction they want to pursue, as college/university students, they may not be aware of the range of options that their chosen path can offer them.

The ASF will take place on October 10-12, 2023 at Technopolis City of Athens, a unique old gas factory that has been transformed into a multi-purpose venue, located near the historic centre of Athens. The Festival, since 2014, is an established cultural landmark in the field of Science, Technology, Innovation and Art, and is considered as one of the largest science and technology festivals in Greece.

The program of this year’s festival, inspired and centered around STEM, will reveal the professional opportunities hidden within its four pillars: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. These fields are not one-dimensional or parallel, but rather intersect and create cross-cutting paths.

For those who are inspired by Science and Technology and dream of a career in these fields, the ASF will serve as a catalyst for a meaningful first encounter and a quick and in-depth look into their fascinating world. Through meetings and discussions with academics and professionals, impressive demonstration experiments, interactive exhibits, workshops, talks from top speakers, and many other activities, our youth and their educators will be able to find answers to questions such as: What does the near future hold for me? What career paths can I follow? Is my choice a career one-way street? Are there right and wrong choices?

We kindly invite you to take part in this celebration and design for the ASF visitors, interactive events and activities, that could fit under the following thematic areas:

STEM Education | STEM Career Counseling | Upskilling & Personal Profile Enhancement | Career Guidance | Chemistry | Physics | Biology | Mathematics | Geology | Computer Science | Health | Pharmaceutical Science | Technology | Engineering | Robotics | Artificial Intelligence | Climate Change | Entrepreneurship | Digital Transformation | Circular Economy | Natural Resource Management | Sustainable Development | Art

In addition, a wide range of topics from the fields of naturals sciences and humanities will be presented in a clear, captivating, and interactive way by some of the most renowned representatives of the academic, research, and educational sector. This is, after all, the main goal of the largest Science and Innovation Festival in the country, the Athens Science Festival.
