20 February, 2015 News

The 2nd Athens Science Festival is delighted to welcome Adrianos Golemis, the Greek doctor who does his research… in Antarctica. Supported by the European Space Agency (ESA), Adrianos is currently conducting a bio-medical research in Antarctica in order to study human adaptation to extreme living conditions, simulating life in space.

How is it like to leave within a small team of people, secluded for a year in the most inaccessible part of the planet?
Why conduct research in Antarctica and what impact does this have on our daily lives?

Adrianos Golemis will respond to these and many more questions in his lecture entitled “Life and research in a space analog at Concordia Station in Antarctica”,  in Athens Science Festival 2015.
