When the conversation comes to the factories of the future, technologies like Artificial Intelligence, hold a key role in the transition to modern, attractive industrial working environments, where the real innovation is taking place.

But what do these factories of the future look like?

During his speech at Athens Science Festival, Dimitris Tzovaras, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas -CERTH, will talk about modern, smart factories and the new technologies they introduce, the role of humans and how they will collaborate with machines. He will also explain the reason these factories of the future may not be as far away as we think.

Dimitris Tzovaras is Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas – CERTH. He has conducted very important scientific and research work (826 publications in total), which is summarized in 3 books, 54 book chapters, 200 publications in International Journals with Referees, and 569 presentations in International Conferences with Referees. Since 1992 he has participated with his team in over 220 Research and Development projects funded by the EU and the GSRT and has concluded industrial contracts with leading companies in the world, such as Samsung.
