Despoina Kortesidou is a molecular neuroscientist specializing in science communication based in Amsterdam and Athens. She studied molecular biology and biotechnology at the University of Crete and completed her master’s degree in Brain and Cognitive Science at the University of Amsterdam.
Currently, she is working as content developer and event organizer for Gran Colectivo Pantitlán –a cultural initiative she co-founded–, as well as science consultant and narrative writer for a prejudice and empathy game designed by the Dodo Laboratory Berlin-based studio. She is also a freelance writer for children’s (science) books. In the past, she worked as a strategic content developer for STEM museum exhibitions at the NorthernLight agency, and co-coordinated the Tesla Minor program for science consulting at the University of Amsterdam.
Joining ASF2020 and SciCo for the first time, she is excited to share her fascination for STEM topics, and release some STEAM out of curious minds.
