Leandros Tsiotos

Leandros holds a BSc in Biochemistry & Biotechnology from the University of Thessaly and an MSc in Science Communication from Imperial College London. He has supported the organisation of the Thessaly Science Festival and the production of creative and educational activities for the Athens Science Festival, while he has worked as a Science Communicator for the Edinburgh Science Festival. He was the Project Leader of the Synthetic Biology research team iGEM Thessaly 2019 and has worked as a Communications Officer for the EU-funded projects OMIC-Engine and INTOMED, ​​coordinated by the University of Thessaly.

From 2023 he works for the University of Oxford as a Public and Patient Involvement and Engagement Officer, supporting people to have their voices heard in clinical research.

At the Athens Science Festival, Leandros supports the development of partnerships with international organisations, aiming to ensure the global impact of the festival and deliver fresh, innovative and interactive content to the festival’s target audiences.
