STEM STARS GREECE 2021: The Winners

The Panhellenic contest which supports and rewards students with a special inclination and talent in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM), will highlight the two winning teams that will represent Greece for the first time in the largest international STEM competition, the Virtual “International Science and Engineering Fair.

A total of 27 teams from all over Greece from both public and private schools qualified to participate in the final of the competition. Their projects cover a variety of STEM areas, ranging from biology and astrophysics, to robotics, app development, and environmental engineering. Despite facing unprecedented challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic, these students worked together to develop STEM projects that not only demonstrated innovation and creativity but also remarkable perseverance.

The STEM STARS GREECE competition is organised by the non profit organisation SciCo with the support of the U.S. Embassy in Athens and is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs. The competition is sponsored by Microsoft Hellas. The prize sponsor is Eduk8.
