A science celebration without borders

In the Spring of 2022, 140 displaced students from 11 classes in Greece and Jordan participated at the first Science United Festival, introducing their team, their team’s flag, sharing their amazing science projects and receiving encouraging words from refugee scientist mentors.
It is our belief that emergency education, through technology, can provide a borderless world of learning for displaced students. Science United Project’s lead teacher, Katerina Tsikalaki MScEd, will present on how a science fair can serve as a tool for integration, bringing together teachers and students from different education settings, to learn new science concepts collaboratively and cooperatively.
