This workshop is designed for every individual who is interested in interactive educational methods (parents, students, educators). The four-step formula of Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots (Get engage, Observe, Take Action, Celebrate) can be enriched by applying the “problem-solving” method which will be presented in this workshop. The goal of the program, overall, is to teach students how to identify problems in their communities and become change-makers by taking the appropriate steps to solve them. Roots & Shoots cultivates the development of compassionate leaders who share common skills and traits such as: critical thinking, compassion, communication, optimism, resilience, and empathy.
