Niretta the Caretta

Sea turtles exist on Earth since the dinosaurs! When the dinosaurs wen extinct, sea turtles managed to survive; however, today they are an endangered species because of man. The award-winning program “Niretta the Caretta” aims to raise children’s awareness of sea turtles, their habitats, and the negative impact that man has on the environment with emphasis on marine litter. Attractive to children and the general public, Niretta the mascot is effective in conveying messages about the environment.
