The silenced rοbins

“By the end of Winter in North America, people wait to hear a familiar bird singing: the robins: the first sign of Spring. But a silent spring once came, when people saw in their yards, robins falling dead from the trees. George Wallace, an ornithologist at the University of Michigan, had to do something about it… ” A frightening environmental phenomenon and its elucidation, which depicted the effects of DDT. The story is based on Rachel Carson’s “Silent Spring” (1962), the foundation of the history of the modern environmental movement. The show includes storytelling, images, and sounds of percussion instruments.
