The largest and longest-running science and technology festival returns to Technopolis City of Athens from April 16 to 21, 2024, with themes, exhibits, and activities for all ages and interests.
This year, the Athens Science Festival celebrates its 10th anniversary with the central theme “Tales of Change” aiming to share captivating Tales of Change that shape our present with an eye on the future. Stories from the world of science, technology, and innovation focus on the most critical challenges of our times. And naturally, the theme of career choice is integral to the festival’s topics.
Whether you’re considering a career pivot or have recently graduated and are preparing to enter the professional world for the first time, the challenges and hurdles in job finding are often common for everyone. In this context, the Athens Science Festival 2024 will host a series of workshops that elevate career choice to a science: They will offer new ideas and suggestions and equip you with tools to successfully (re)start your professional journey.
Become Tomorrow’s Entrepreneur
For example, the STARTAB Entrepreneurship Program, conducted by the Corallia Unit of the Athena Research Center, supported by Prince’s Trust International. In the “Become Tomorrow’s Entrepreneur” workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about a free mentoring program. If you are between 18 and 35 years old, unemployed or partially employed, do not already own a business, but have the right to establish a company in Greece, and have a business idea you wish to develop, then the STARTAB Entrepreneurship Program can support you every step of the way.

From Science to Market in 6 Steps
How can scientists shape the way we live, eat, communicate, stay healthy, and do business? What does it take to translate scientific work from the lab to the real economy?
The Science-2-Business team will guide you through the journey from Science to the business reality in the “From Science to Market in 6 Steps” workshop. Utilizing inspiring stories, quizzes, and role-playing simulations, they will help you discover the steps by which every scientific achievement is transferred to the economy, improving our lives.
