The Science of CSI: Crime in the Laboratory

27 March, 2024 News

An original science theatre performance by the Science Reactors

How does a DNA test work?
What are fingerprints, and how are they related to footprints?
Why is a UV lamp always handy at a crime scene?
How does technology aid crime detection, and what is the role of a 3D scanner?

These are just some of the questions that scientists are facing in the performance. A researcher is found dead in strange circumstances… was it murder or a laboratory accident?

“Crime in the Laboratory” is a performance that, following the usual practice of the Science Reactors, invites us to see science… from a different point of view! Discover science in our everyday life, enjoy science and art together and let the original music set the mood. Plus, expect lots of humour from the young scientists who make up the team.

So, how does science become science theatre?
Join us and enjoy the quirky detective duo trying to solve the mystery and find the murderer. In their attempt, they dive into many disciplines… from biology, criminology, and computer science to nanotechnology.
Let the show begin!!!
