Katerina is a senior student in the Department of Chemical Engineering at NTUA, with a special interest in the field of physical chemistry and materials science. Throughout her academic journey, she has been actively involved in science and its communication, while teaching private courses has revealed to her the disconnect between students and science. As a result, she strives to utilize interactive teaching methods.

Recently, she completed an internship at the research and development company Creative Nano, where she broadened her knowledge in nanomaterials and nanotechnology. Furthermore, over the last three years she focused on volunteering and bridging the gap between the academic and professional
community by organizing seminars, workshops, and scientific conferences. Currently, she coordinates a team of 52 volunteers and the team's podcast, with the main focus on the field of chemical engineering. Her primary objective is to broaden the public’s understanding of all aspects of science and its benefits to society.
