Panagiotis Karmiris

Panagiotis began his academic journey in the Department of Food Science and Nutrition at the University of the Aegean. His path continued as he transitioned to the field of entrepreneurship through the “Innovation and Entrepreneurship” minor program at Wageningen University in the Netherlands, where he continues his studies to date.

During his undergraduate years, he was elected as the president of the student association twice, organizing events such as festivals and conferences.
Additionally, he is actively involved in the tourism sector in Greece, where he has developed activities in the area of short-term apartment rentals, while simultaneously collaborating with his father in agricultural activities.

In 2021, Panagiotis focused on actively communicating science, taking on the role of team leader at the Aegean Science Festival. Concurrently, he has participated three times in Mednight workshops, reinforcing his commitment to the dissemination of scientific knowledge and innovation.
Panagiotis is deeply motivated by the belief that science can unite society as a common language.
