The vision for a Science and Innovation Festival in Athens, equal to other similar international organisations, has now become reality. The 2015 Athens Science Festival, has managed to change the way the scientific community interacts with the wider audience, through a variety of activities and innovative events, creating an unprecedented for the Greek reality, yet, absolutely vital, gateway of communication between them.

Within six days, from 17 to 22 March, approximately 33,000 peolpe visited Technopolis of the City of Athens.  8,000 of the visitors were students, seeking to find out more about the magic world of science! A total of 180 different events throughout Technopolis, offered a 200-hours program of workshops, educational activities and games, scientific presentations, discussions, performances, film screenings, exhibitions and interesting talks be well known Greek and international scientists.

A celebration of science, innovation and technology, with free admission for all ages. A festival right in the heart of Athens, in collaboration with 90 research, academic, educational and artistic organisations, managed to move… “from theory to practice.”
