Innovations for a sustainable future from the Czech Center of Athens!

This year, the Czech Center of Athens honors the Athens Science Festival in multiple ways and organizes interesting exhibitions, looking forward to the future!

The exhibition with the title “Innovations for a sustainable future” focuses on the European level and shared issues. It strives to reveal the higher meaning of science and Innovation. which includes meeting the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) while also showing innovation and scientific progress are helping to Implement the ambitious SDGs. 

Finally, it introduces major international research infrastructures and research institutes operating in the Czech Republic.

It is clear that the circumstances of our existence are changing faster than many of us could have ever imagined. There are many paths ahead of us, from the panic at the loss of certainty to the chance to see new challenges amid a turbulent reality.

“Sustainability” surely stands out among them. What might have seemed like a fad of bored urban liberals a few years ago, is a lived daily reality now. Fortunately, beyond the millions of tons of waste, injustice, suffering, convenience, and the desire for cheap solutions regardless of the consequences, humanity has better things to offer: creativity, vision, and the power of original thinking. 

We invest not only in convenience, but also in the best minds who are passionate about finding solutions that could save us.

The pace of the technological revolution is dizzying. New phenomena such as digitalization, artificial intelligence, and biotechnology are rapidly making their way Into all areas of our lives, from communication to health, politics, and culture.
