In this year’s anniversary edition of the Athens Science Festival, the Czech Centre Athens participates with two projects that place Czechia among the festival’s main exhibitors. Besides the large inflatable model of Earth – “Terallona,” visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy the interactive game “Save the Planet” by INITI Playground.

The INITI PLAYGROUND project was created by the creative studio INITI.ORG based in Prague, an artistic team with over 14 years of experience in the field of interactive installations and audiovisual projects for indoor and outdoor spaces. It brings together visual artists, technicians, and musicians who emphasize play and original artistic solutions, designing site-specific projects that transform real environments into VR worlds of illusion. The studio has presented its festival creations worldwide, such as at SIGGRAPH, the largest computer graphics conference in Los Angeles, and EXPO 2020 in Dubai.

The founder of INITI, visual artist Dan Gregor, and his main collaborator, programmer Ondřej Průcha, will be in Athens during the Athens Science Festival to present their game “SAVE THE PLANET” to both young and old festival visitors.
