MindFAQ: An interactive performance by Giannis Sarakatsanis on how our mind works

1 April, 2024 News

How does our perception connect with the decisions we make? Why do we behave in certain, often repetitive ways? How are our decisions influenced by our values, beliefs, and preferences? And why do we sometimes say one thing, do another, and mean something else?

These, and many more questions, will be placed at the center of the stage of the Athens Science Festival, by the distinguished actor and director Giannis Sarakatsanis through an interactive performance about how our mind works.

With his work “MindFAQ,” Giannis brings his YouTube material to the theater to explore, together with the audience, the power, limits, and “short circuits” of thought. The spectators play a decisive role in the performance: They participate, vote, solve puzzles, and share the stage with Giannis playing (seemingly) fun games with an ultimate goal: To make everyone “MindFAQ”!

Using comedy as a vehicle, come to the Athens Science Festival to discover what behavioral psychology says about how we think we make decisions. And then get a bit philosophical, as our world is turned upside down… in a good way. Let’s have a “MindFAQ” with how our mind works and messes with us!
