“Tales of Change” – Ancient Greek edition by Theodoros Papakostas

1 April, 2024 News

Do you know which is the only constant in the human history? But, of course, constant change! Because if you think about it, the changes that took place in antiquity – whether big or small, mild or dramatic, sometimes sudden and sometimes lasting for centuries –defined the human species.

This is what the archaeologist and writer Theodoros Papakostas, a modern Archaeostoryteller advocates. And through his talk at the Athens Science Festival 2024 entitled “Even since ancient times….Tales of change in antiquity!”, he invites us to a narrative slalom between stories of persons and people, small and big changes, from the Paleolithic era until today.

The author of the popular science hit books “How to fit all of Ancient Greece in an elevator” and “Archaeology my love …come get me out of here,” firmly believes that science only has substance when it is communicated. And with a deep conviction that antiquity concerns us all, Theodoros Papakostas comes to ASF 2024 with a delightfully instructive Tale of Change that proves that knowledge of our past is the power for our future.
