The Green Agents Mission at the Athens Science Festival

1 May, 2014 News

Green Agents is a group of “secret spies” whose mission is to understand the science that links everyday life (electricity usage and carbon footprint) with global environmental issues like the enhanced greenhouse effect and the climate change. Moreover, the students are called to action, in order to help reduce electricity use in their schools and to spread the word in their community.

The Green Agents Mission programme was first presented as a Commitment for Action at Clinton Global Initiative University (www.cgiu.org) at Saint Louis in April 2013 supported by the Angelopoulos Fellowship 2013 to represent Greece under the pillars of Education and Environment.

It is an exciting energy project developed and implemented via SciCo, in collaboration with the British Council, the Radiotelevision of the Ministry of Education and Intelen Services limited.

At the Athens Science Festival the Green Agents are participating in three ways:

Contest final at the 9.84 amphitheatre, on Saturday 3 May 2014 at 13.00
Interactive exhibition on Wednesday and Friday 09.00 – 14.00 and on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 11.00 – 16.00 at room D12
Workshop under the title: “Gamification in the classroom” on Saturday at 18.00 at room W1.
