If you had the opportunity to talk to a renowned scientist, what would you ask them? What if you could engage in an informal exchange of ideas and had only a few minutes to do so? Are you interested in studying in the United Kingdom?

The British Council is hosting two events at the Athens Science Festival, offering students the opportunity to discover more about studying in the United Kingdom.

The event “Information about UK Universities” will take place on Wednesday, October 11th at 9:30 in the Amphitheater. Students will receive information about study opportunities in the UK from Mrs Katerina Fegarou, who works at the British Council Greece and manages the delivery of education programmes with a focus on UK Higher Education. Students will also discover the mission of the British Council Greece, which creates connections and trust between people living in the UK and Greece. The organization supports individuals to build networks, explore creative ideas, and get high-quality education.

The event “Speed Date a Scientist” will be held on Wednesday, October 11th at 12:00 in the Purifiers. Each student will have a 5-minute one-on-one session with one of the scientists from the UK Alumni network to receive answers to their questions. A wide variety of topics will be discussed, as each invited scientist specializes in a different field.

Specifically, the event will explore a range of topics, including the pros and cons of studying and working in the United Kingdom, the future of sustainability and sustainable development fields, the essential soft skills required in any professional environment, and the technological skills that will be crucial in the future.
